Granada is a festival the whole year round, we invite you to know how each month is special in Granada and their events.

 

January

There is no better way to enter the new year than visiting the city of Granada. The Christmas lights still decorate the streets and the Three Wizards Parade excites children and elder. The so-called January’s slope is not as hard in Granada because the offer is very varied and adapted for all economies.

February

February is short but intense, ideal for a relaxing scape to our land after the previous parties.

March

The arrival of the Spring takes place on this month. Walking through the streests of Granada becomes a real pleasure. The views of the city when the sun rises make Granada a unique destiny for this month.

April

Good weather is coming and it is even possible to enjoy your stay wearing a T-shirt.

May

In May the Cruces (or Crosses Day) festival takes place in our city. Streets and squares get full of large crosses decorated with carnations, shawls, flowerpots... No visitor gets disappointed with a May visit to Granada!

June

The International Music and Dance Festival takes place in this month. Year after year people make reservation in their diaries to enjoy the events that take place in June the city. This month is an unavoidable appointment.

July

The noise of tourists and the good weather generate an extraordinary atmosphere. Bar terrasses where one can sit and taste a refreshing drink and some snack while you can admire fabulous views have, by this time of the year, occupied every corner of the city.

August

The city never sleeps and during the whole summer an extraordinary annual event takes place located in the Generalife Gardens based on Federico Garcia Lorca’s work. A unique show that year after year gets renewed!

September

If there is something that marks Granada’s character that is its student environment. In September the return to the city from holidays becomes a real pleasure. University students, both Spanish and foreign students, wait for these days in expectation. Once again, Granada is full of life.

October

The arrival of the Autumn dresses the city with the season colours and temperature gets cooler. Days go shorter but they keep the charm to make your stay as pleasant as ever during one of the most romantic seasons of the year.

November

There always are activities to do in Granada and this is one of the most enhaced months. Boredom has no place in November as the cultural offer is wide enough to please everyone!

December

Christmas’ magic comes to Granada. These are pleasant days to enjoy and streets are full of people visiting the countless shops where you can buy the presents for your loved ones. Walking through the city becomes evocative and you can spend some time admiring the beautiful Nativity scenes (or Belenes ) spread throughout the whole city while tasting the Christmas cakes made by the exquisite hands of nuns in closed orders.
