    The aljibes are Arab water tanks which were built during the Muslim domination of Granada and they were used for the storage and distribution of water in the city.

    Iglesia de San Miguel
    Located in Plaza de San Miguel Bajo by the Monastery of Santa Isabel la Real. It was built over a mosque in 1501. Between 1528 and 1539 the upper half was modified by Antonio Fernández and carpenter Gil Martín. Between 1551 and 1556 the lower half was modified by Alonso de Villanueva and carpenter Gabriel Martínez. The front looks like designed by Siloé and it was sculpted by Juan de Alcántara and Pedro de Asteasu. By the lateral front, we find an arab water tank which used to belong to the old mosque, which dates back from the 8th century, with horseshoe pointed arch over arch shafts of Roman columns.
